Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of experience.

  • Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices, including matching with purchase order, obtaining approvals, assigning G/L coding, and maintaining vendor files
  • Process weekly check run
  • Respond to payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist in generation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • General ledger account reconciliation
  • Assist with sales & use tax filings
  • Audit maintenance contract records
  • Perform other accounting duties and projects as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Independent, proactive, flexible, and self-driven
  • Organized, accurate, efficient, and attentive to detail
  • Strong keyboarding and PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP system a plus
