Transact Cookie Policy

Transact Campus Inc. is a subsidiary of Transact Holdings, Inc. among other related entities and affiliates (collectively, “Transact”). This Cookie Policy describes what you need to know about cookies and how Transact uses them. This Cookie Policy applies to any digital platform through which you may access our websites and services, such as a personal computer or mobile device. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information on how we use your personal information.

What You Need to Know about Cookies

Cookies are small text files downloaded to your computer or mobile device to make sure our websites work efficiently and seamlessly and perform certain functions. They are unique to your account or your browser. The website sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Every time you go back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server. Cookies cannot access, read, or modify any other data on your computer.

How Transact Campus Inc. Uses Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites when you affirmatively consent to cookies. We also use cookies when you access some of our products and services. Cookies allow us to store your preferences and settings, authenticate you and log you in, as well as provide a personalized experience. Cookies can help us analyze how our websites and online services are performing, such as telling us if you get an error message as you browse. These cookies collect data that is mostly aggregated and anonymous.

Types of Cookies Description
Sign-in and authentication These cookies help us authenticate you, keep you signed in, and personalize the services where you use websites and services with sign-in.
Preferences and settings These cookies help us remember your settings and preferences and deliver a personalized experience even if you are not logged in. For example, we can store which language you prefer. We also use such cookies to help you fill out forms and surveys more easily. We use third-party cookies for these purposes.
Necessary These cookies perform functions such as allowing us to use the most appropriate server to provide information. They are necessary to make sure that the website functions properly.
Security Security cookies support our security features and help us detect malicious activities.
Analytics We use Transact and third-party cookies such as Google Analytics to gather information about user activities and performance. This helps us analyze and improve the performance of our websites. It also lets us understand, improve, and research how our products and services are used and what type of devices you use to access them. The information we receive from these third-party providers is de-identified, meaning we cannot track it back to you. For Google Analytics, we have enabled IP Anonymization to anonymize your IP address.
Social Sharing On some of our websites we use buttons and cookies from Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and other social media services that allow you to share content via their services if you are a member and signed in. These social media companies may recognize you and collect information on your visit to our websites, and they may set a cookie or employ other tracking technologies. Your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policies of the social media companies. Please read their privacy statements and cookie policies to understand how they use your information.
Marketing and Advertising
We use cookies from third parties to recognize you when you return to our websites and to understand which pages you visit. If you submit your information on our pages (such as via a web form), we will link this information to the information stored on the cookie. We use this information to personalize your experience on our websites and to make sure we are communicating with you in the most relevant way possible.
We also use third-party cookies from services such as Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Microsoft Bing. This allows those services to show you relevant ads and campaigns from us in their environment when you previously visited one of our websites. We also receive information from some of these services about which ads or campaigns for which you have interacted.

What to Know About Targeted Advertising

We use third party advertising tools to collect information about your visits to our websites to serve you targeted advertisements based upon your browsing history and interests on other websites and online services or on other devices you may use. In some instances, we may share a common account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) with our third-party advertising partners to help identify and contact you across devices. We and our third-party partners use this information to make advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.

"Do Not Track" Policy

Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals. If you block cookies, certain features on our website may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop. Options you select are browser- and device-specific.

Web Beacons

We also employ a software technology called a pixel tag or Web beacon. A clear Web beacon is a line of code that we place on our websites or in e-mails which allows us to analyze our advertising and the general usage patterns of visitors to our websites. These help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content or promotions are effective. Unless you consent, we do not collect personally identifiable information from you through the use of web beacons.

Log Files

Like most standard website servers, we use log files. Log files track Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks. We utilize this information to analyze trends, administer the site, prevent fraud, track website navigation in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Social Networking

The website permits you to use a third party social networking platform such as Facebook, X (formally Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube. These plug-ins allow you to follow us on those services. When you use social networking platforms and plugins, you share your information with them and their privacy notice applies to their disclosure of such information. In addition, they may be able to collect information about you, including your activity or may notify your connections on the social networking platform about your use of our website. Such services may allow your activity to be monitored across multiple websites for purposes of delivering more targeted advertising. Please note that their own privacy polices apply and we encourage you to read them. We may add new social networking plugins and buttons to our website from time to time.

            http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices

            http://www.aboutads.info/choices

These tools will only opt you out from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but you may still receive interest-based ads on your other devices.  You must perform the opt-out on each browser or device you use. These tools will not opt you out of non-targeted advertising.

Please note that some of these opt outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies.  If you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or computers or use another operating system, you will need to opt out again.

Web Beacons.  In some cases, disabling a Cookie via our Cookie Policy will also disable the corresponding web beacon.
